Acoustic impedance check
Acoustic impedance testing is a method of objectively testing the function of the middle ear sound transmission system and the brainstem auditory pathway. The basic items to be checked are: tympanogram, static acoustic compliance and stapes muscle sound reflection.
Tympanogram: To determine the changes in the compliance of the tympanic membrane and the ossicular chain to the detection sound under the influence of changes in external auditory meatus pressure. With the continuous process of the external ear canal pressure from positive pressure to negative pressure, the eardrum is first pressed inward, gradually returning to its natural position, and then protruding outward. The resulting dynamic changes in acoustic compliance are recorded in the form of a pressure acoustic compliance function curve, which is called the tympanic function curve.
