Brain stem evoked potential and pure tone hearing test results-1
Listening zero
We say that someone has normal or abnormal hearing because we have a standard. The audiologists examined the hearing of thousands of young people and set the pure tone from 125-8000 Hz that they just heard as "OdB." This "OdB" is the "OdB" on our audiometer, also known as the hearing level (HL) standard. After the hearing test, we are actually comparing this "OdB" with the test results. If the test result (FTA) is within 25 dB, we believe that the subject's hearing is normal; if this limit is exceeded, we believe that the subject has hearing loss. The more values you exceed, the heavier the loss. If it is greater than 90dB, it is called extremely severe.
Melison Pure tone audiometer AD104
All pure tone audiometers are pre-installed with hearing level standards. Brain stem evoked potentials are different. Because recognized standards for brainstem evoked potentials have not yet been produced. Brainstem evoked potential users either use sound pressure level SPL (a physical standard that is not directly related to human hearing), or use a small sample of hearing level (find a certain number of young people, check the hearing threshold for them, then put them The average hearing threshold is set to OdB).
